I'm thrilled to share this cover and a little info about my new novel, RED HANDS. I mean...look at that cover! I love it! RED HANDS is a standalone novel featuring Ben Walker. I've been toiling away writing the pilot script and bible for the in-development TV series, and that's been great, but TV is always a maybe...while the novel is a yes. It's real and tangible and alive and has this great damn cover. You work so long on a novel and you're in a vacuum, never knowing if what you're doing is any good. I'm always nervous when I begin to share the work with my first readers, but so far I've been startled by the terrific response. My agent, Howard Morhaim, is my toughest critic and he loved it. A select handful of other folks are reading it now and I'm nervous as hell.
So what's it about, you ask? Well...here you go:
A car plows through the crowd at a July 4th parade. The driver climbs out, sick and stumbling, reaching out…and everyone he touches drops dead within seconds. Maeve Sinclair watches in horror as people she loves begin to die and she knows she must take action. But in the aftermath of this terror, it’s Maeve Sinclair who possessed that killing touch. Fleeing into the mountains around Jericho Falls, New Hampshire, pursued by police, her own loved ones, and private security employed by the secretive Garland Mountain Laboratories, Maeve is struggling with her own grief, confusion, and the dawning realization that she will never be able to touch another human being again.
Sidelined by his employers for breaking the rules, “weird shit expert” Ben Walker is surprised to get a call from Alena Boudreau, director of the newly restructured Global Science Research Coalition. There’s an upheaval in the organization and she needs to send someone she can trust to Jericho Falls. Whoever finds Maeve Sinclair first will unravel the mystery of her death touch, and many are willing to kill her for that secret. Walker’s assignment is to get her off the mountain alive. But as Maeve searches for a safe hiding place, hunted and growing sicker by the moments, she begins to hear an insidious voice in her head, and the yearning, the need…the hunger to touch another human being continues to grow. When Walker and Maeve meet at last, they will unravel a stunning legacy of death and betrayal, and a malignant secret as old as history.

Hi
I read the blog post about Red Hands by Christopher Golden, and it was interesting how the author explained the story of a deadly outbreak and the fear of being hunted while trying to survive in a small town. The way the main characters deal with danger reminded me of a time I was stuck on a big project and used assignment help for management students to organize my work and feel less stressed. That made me think about how getting support can help you push through hard parts of learning and grow stronger.
